Kolymata is a word created by Ida Larsen, it is an invented word inspired by the Greek word “kollima”, which means “sticking” and also refers to someone getting stuck on something.

For these works, only self-adhesive materials, such as adhesive tape, stickers and post-its, are used.

The materials are mostly used directly on walls or floors.
The idea is to create an organic surface from these synthetic and not very necessary materials These works only last as long as the shows or as long physical conditions allow them to.
